This was a surprise for me.
After seeing her awkwardly toss some pointed questions at President Obama during his appearance on the show, I would have had her pegged as someone who would tow the GOP line all the way…
But in an interview on Fancast, Hasselback spoke frankly about her views on gay marriage, and on abortion (as related to the injection of the soul at the moment of conception).
I have noticed – only in the last couple of weeks – the public statements of some people I would consider ultra-conservatives – namely Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck. Coulter is going to speak at HomoCon and Glenn Beck told Bill O’Reilly that he did not consider same-sex marriage a threat to the USA.
What should we read into this?
Genuine feelings of equality? Or adept politicking by pundits who realize they are going to be on the losing side of the same-sex marriage battle?
